چکیده

Exam scheduling is a very complex process done every semester in educational institution and usually manually. The limited resources these institutions make the preparation of exam program demanding inconvenient task. In addition, when examined detail, it seen that comprehensive task requires fulfillment many situations other than appointment appropriate course for time period. this study, solution approach allows assignment courses to periods proposed whose data we use. Thus, aimed obtain can quickly solve problem, which institution. A Genetic Algorithm, an artificial intelligence optimization algorithm, was used as method, performance method on problem tested. taking into account students, lecturers, administrative staff's within study's scope purpose, aims programs will satisfy everyone. However, most studies focused idea making suitable use non-technical personnel neglected. developed study has been turned decision support system. become structure personnel. As result considering institution's entire structure, period obtained, automated, eliminating effort spent by staff.

A Genetic Algorithm Developed for a Supply Chain Scheduling Problem

This paper concentrates on the minimization of total tardiness and earliness of orders in an integrated production and transportation scheduling problem in a two-stage supply chain. Moreover, several constraints are also considered, including time windows due dates, and suppliers and vehicles availability times. After presenting the mathematical model of the problem, a developed version of GA c...

designing a decision support system (dss) schema with applying genetic algorithm for survey of resource leveling problem-(vehicles)

resource leveling and allocation are two basic categories for project management. the objective of resource allocation is to schedule activities so that a particular resource does not exceed a specific limit in any given project time period, while holding the project duration to a minimum. the resource leveling problem arises when there are sufficient resources available and it is necessary to ...

A Decision Support System (DSS) for the Railway Scheduling Problem

The recent deregulation occurred in the public railway sector in many parts of the world has increased the awareness of this sector of the need for quality service that must be o ered to its customers. In this paper, we present a software system for solving and plotting the Single-Track Railway Scheduling Problem e ciently and quickly. The problem is formulated as a Constraint Satisfaction Prob...

A HYBRID GENETIC ALGORITHM FOR A BI-OBJECTIVE SCHEDULING PROBLEM IN A FLEXIBLE MANUFACTURING CELL

This paper considers a bi-objective scheduling problem in a flexible manufacturing cell (FMC) which minimizes the maximum completion time (i.e., makespan) and maximum tardiness simultaneously. A new mathematical model is considered to reflect all aspect of the manufacturing cell. This type of scheduling problem is known to be NP-hard. To cope with the complexity of such a hard problem, a genet...

A genetic algorithm approach for problem

In this paper, a genetic algorithm is presented for an identical parallel-machine scheduling problem with family setup time that minimizes the total weighted flow time ( ). No set-up is necessary between jobs belonging to the same family. A set-up must be scheduled when switching from the processing of family i jobs to those of another family j, i  j, the duration of this set-up being the sequ...
